Re: Kenny's build thread

So I am way overdue with some updates, so will try to cover some of the changes to the car. Not long after my last update I did another track day at MSR-C. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v609/KennyStang/S2000/E1753B55-02E4-4C1F-AA61-B0A9F4743325.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v609/KennySta...

Re: Kenny's build thread

nice numbers, especially considering thats still "conservative". Yeah, I was happy with the results, we'll see how that translates on the track! :driving: Also this weekend got to install the passenger side Corbeau Forza Sport seat http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v609/KennyStang/S2000/8...

Re: Kenny's build thread

So finally got arround to getting the car dyno tuned. Up to this point the car had a street tune that was VERY conservative, the fueling was very rich, and the timing was extremely low. With the existing tune the car put down 352 RWHP / 235 ft/lbs, after adjusting the fuel to smooth it out, and addi...

Re: Kenny's build thread

Finally got a chance to take some pictures of me in the seat with the seat belt buckled (extender didn't arrive till today).  There's not a ton of room to take pictures, but here you can see how the seat fits around my shoulders, its very snug but not uncomfortable.  Will take it for a spin soon and...

Re: Kenny's build thread

So as I've been tracking the car more and more, started to feel the that the stock seats were no longer cutting it. To try and stay in place I was having to brace myself with my knees, and this in turn made it difficult to be precise with my brake and throttle inputs. Only issue here is that the maj...

Re: Kenny's build thread

So finally got around to fix the CV/Axle Bucket boot. Decided that since I had to take one of the buckets apart, might as well as do the famous Axle bucket swap (no real vibration under acceleration to speak off). This is easily one of the messiest jobs you will ever do on your car, especially when ...

Re: Kenny's build thread

Do you have a baffled sump :) ? That's the next thing going in, I ordered the Moroso baffle and having a friend weld it in, should be ready for my next track day next month. Do have a quick update, had a blast yesterday with the SCCA Track Night in America, was able to match by previous best time, ...

Re: Kenny's build thread

During my last track day with NASA I was getting quite a bit of oil coming out of the PCV port, and due to a cheap VTA catch can some of the oil was coming out of the filter and through the vents in the hood and getting on my windshield. I decided I needed to do a couple of upgrades, first thing up ...

Re: Kenny's build thread

Nice pics. Any feedback around the wing and splitter on track? Thanks, the photographer did a great job. :photo: Both the wing and the splitter performed well, only issue I had was on the last session I got black flagged and brought into the pits because the outside portions of the splitter was scr...

Re: Kenny's build thread

A few more updates from the last week or so I finally got arround to getting my track wheels ready to go. When I bought them they had been plasti dipped black, and the dip was coming off. I decided to remove all of the dip, before getting my tires mounted on them. If you haven't had the opportunity ...

Re: Kenny's build thread

So some small updates, I had purchased the Modifry Shift Beeper a few weeks ago, and finally got around to installing it. No install pictures as it's all hidden behind the passenger dashboard area, but what a pain in the rear to install... you have to be contortionist to get access to the wires and ...

Re: Kenny's build thread

So managed to get the wing installed on Friday, very impressed with the mounting of the wing. The wing comes with two thick FRP braces that are molded to fit the trunk skeleton. This provides substantial bracing and should ensure that the trunk doesn't flex and deform due to downforce. http://img.ph...
